Upon submission of your online booking, an inspector will contact you by phone call to discuss the details of your inspection. You are encouraged to complete this conference, although it is not required for the inspection to occur. Unless you receive a confirmation of cancelation or rescheduling of your appointment, the inspection will occur as scheduled. Appointments that are canceled or rescheduled on the same day as they are scheduled to occur may still incur up to 100% of the inspection fee, at the discretion of the inspector assigned. Please prepare your property for inspection before your inspector arrives according to the following guidelines:
Failure to properly prepare the property may result in inspection restrictions, incomplete inspection items, or loss of hardware, for which the inspector will not assume responsibility for, financially or otherwise.
Once the inspection is completed, the client is responsible for payment. Reports will be delivered by e-mail after payment for service is received, typically delivered the next day after service. Weekends and holidays may be excluded. When your email delivery is confirmed by York Inspections, York Inspections is no longer responsible for the delivery of your reports. If you do not receive your email delivery, it is the client's responsibility to notify the inspector within 48 of the expected delivery time. Once delivery is confirmed by York Inspections, a $25 fee will apply to any future redelivery requested. Returned checks will be subject to a $35 return fee, in addition to the original payment amount.
If you cannot receive an email delivery you may choose one of the following options for delivery:
Invoices for service will be delivered by email within 24 hours of completion of inspection appointment. If you cannot receive email invoices please notify your inspector upon completion of inspection appointment and elect one of the following options:
Invoices are due upon receipt. Invoices that remain unpaid for more than 48 hours after delivery may be subject to a late fee of $15 per day at the discretion of your inspector. Failure to pay for service after 30 days will result in legal action, and continue to incur late fees per diem, until the total due is satisfied, at which time legal fees and additional fees may apply to receive your archived report(s), at the discretion of your inspector.
For Contractors
Upon submission of an inspection request, an inspector will contact the inspection client (ie: lender or homeowner) in order to schedule or submit the inspection. The contractor does not need to be on site during the inspection appointment. Reports will be delivered to the client, not the contractor. The following preparations will need to be made by the contractor in order to ensure full scope of inspection:
Contractors will receive an invoice for service(s) once per month or more. Invoices are due upon receipt. Failure to satisfy your invoice will result in legal action at the expense of the contractor.
